Investing and withdrawals

You can make a request for partial withdrawal as long as the minimum holding amount is maintained in your SMART Portfolio account.  

Step 1: Print the Transaction Form HERE (e-signature not accepted)

Step 2: Complete the form 

Step 3: Email a clear photo or scanned copy of the Transaction Form to talktophillip@phillip.com.sg

The withdrawal request will be processed within 14 business days upon receipt.


You may fund your SMART Portfolio account with the following options:

PayNow is available to customers of the following nine participating banks: UOB, Bank of China, Citibank, DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, ICBC, Maybank, OCBC and Standard Chartered Bank.

Scan the QR code to make payment in 3 easy steps (mobile users may wish to take a screenshot of the QR code and import it later)

1. Log in to your banking/payment app with your username and PIN
2. Scan/Import the QR code or manually key in the Company UEN to start your transaction

Enter your 7-digit SMART Portfolio account number e.g. 1234567 under "Reference Number". 

Your funds will be reflected in your SMART Portfolio account the next business day.

Funding can be made easy with the excess funds in your Phillip trading account(s).

Step 1: Log in to Poems 2.0

Step 2: Select ‘Acct Mgmt’

Step 3: Select ‘Stocks’

Step 4: Select ‘Online Forms’

Step 5: State amount to be withdrawn

Step 6: Select ‘To transfer into account…’

Step 7: Click ‘Submit’

You can fund your account online using Internet Bill Payment in your internet banking.

Steps for Fund Transfer from DBS Bank Multi-Currency Account (Non-SGD):

  1. Login to DBS Digibank App
  2. Select Pay & Transfer
  3. Add a Local Recipient
  4. Under Transfer to, please select Bank Account and proceed to key in Recipient name, bank and bank account number
  5. Select Next to proceed to add Payee

After adding Phillip Securities Pte Ltd Multi-Currency Account Details under Pay and Transfer

  1. Select ‘Pay & Transfer’
  1. App will display Phillip Securities Pte Ltd Multi-Currency Account details like this:
  1. Select the debiting account as the client’s Multi Currency Account and the currency he wants to transfer.
    Scroll down all the way to select USD (if this is the currency that you wish to transfer) – further below Thai Baht. The selection will show SGD by default due to DBS User Interface
  1. After selecting USD from client’s Multi Currency Bank Account
    Input amount to be transferred and ensure “USD” is selected at both transferor and transferee.
  2. Input 7-digit PHILLIP Account number under Reference number.
  3. Proceed to click “Next” and complete the transfer


When your account has been set up and funded, the SMART investment managers will proceed to deploy your funds into a diversified portfolio of funds across geographical regions, countries and industry sectors according to your risk profile.


The initial minimum investment for SMART Portfolio is as follows:

SMART Portfolio (General Investing)

  • Initial minimum investment is SGD 300
  • Optional subsequent monthly investment from SGD 100

SMART Portfolio US Equity

  • Initial minimum investment is SGD 3,000
  • Optional subsequent monthly investment from SGD 300
  • Note: If USD funding is preferred, the minimum investment is USD 2,500

Yes, you can. You can add to your investment any time and with any amount of your choice via Phillip Trading Account, internet banking, SRS account, cheque or telegraphic transfer.  Simply quote your SMART account number as a reference during the transfer. Please refer to “How do I fund my SMART account” for funding instructions.


No, you do not need to. Our system will be able to pick up the funds and invest accordingly.


The initial minimum investment amount for SMART Portfolio (General Investing) is SGD 300.

Thereafter, there is an optional subsequent monthly investment with the minimum amount starting from SGD 100.

 

The initial minimum investment amount for SMART Portfolio US Equity is SGD 3,000 / USD 2,500.

Thereafter, there is an optional subsequent monthly investment with the minimum amount starting from SGD 300.

 

Option 1: Internet Bill Payment Standing Instruction

You may choose to do regular monthly investments in your SMART Portfolio by setting up a standing instruction to make monthly investments through your internet banking. 

Step 1: Login to your internet banking portal

Step 2: Choose ‘Pay Bills’

Step 3: Choose ‘Phillip Securities’ as the payee

Step 4: Key in your 7-digit SMART Portfolio account number in Bill Reference (e.g. “0123456”*)

*You may retrieve your 7-digit SMART Portfolio account number using one of the following methods:

i. If you have a POEMS Trading account, you may log in to POEMS Mobile 3 app > "Trade" page > "Robo" tab. Don't have the POEMS Mobile 3 app? Click here to download.

ii. Log in to MyWealth mobile app. Don't have the MyWealth mobile app? Click here to download.

iii. Log in to Phillip Wealth Management portal here.

 

Option 2: GIRO Arrangement

You may choose to do regular monthly investments in your SMART Portfolio by setting up a GIRO arrangement. 

Step 1: Download and print these forms:

a. Phillip Monthly Investment Plan Form

b. Phillip GIRO Form

c. Business Return Envelope

Step 2: Fill in the forms above and post it back to us.

Note: GIRO service will take effect in approximately three to four weeks after you have submitted your application and upon issuance of a confirmation letter to you.


No.  You’ll be able to see the deposited amount in your portfolio via Phillip Wealth Management website here or via MyWealth mobile app when the transfer has been processed. Don't have the MyWealth mobile app? Click here to download.
